Grown in Grey 2020, April 14th & 15th Desboro Community Centre, 136205 Grey Rd. 40.
The objective of Grown in Grey is to further educate children, specifically those in grade five, about what is happening in agriculture and related industries in our region.
Grown in Grey is an agricultural based educational event that is held away from the classroom. The usual venue is an arena. This allows the accomodation of a large number of children and different learning "stations".
The objective of Grown in Grey is to further educate children, specifically those in grade five, about what is happening in agriculture and related industries in our region. Grown in Grey is run by a group of core volunteers and is a not for profit organization. This event is made possible by the co-operation of a large number of organizations, commodity groups, farmers, educators and individuals interested in the many facets of agriculture.
Over the past 20 years we have had over 11,000 Grey County students visit our event and each of them came away with a better understanding of agriculture and how it is part of the fabric of Grey County.
Last year was our first year at the Desboro Community Centre and we were really pleased with how things worked out at this excellent facility. We are enthusiastically looking forward to another great event in Desboro on April 14 & 15 and we hope to see you there. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis and for the last few years we have filled up very quickly, so you might want to register early!
New this year will be an open house for the public to view the displays between 3:00 & 5:00 on Tuesday afternoon. Tell your family and friend to come and visit.
